Dr Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and is a specialist in Infectious Disease. She also serves as honorary clinical associate professor for the Department of Medicine of both HKU and CUHK, and for the Department of Microbiology and Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of CUHK.
Dr Wong is currently the Consultant of Special Preventive Programme of the Department of Health, an office responsible for the prevention, surveillance and clinical management of HIV/AIDS and the prevention of viral hepatitis in Hong Kong. Apart from her passion towards infectious diseases and HIV medicine, Dr Wong is an avid traveller with a keen interest in travel medicine. She was the first from Hong Kong to attend the Gorgas Diploma Course in Clinical Tropical Medicine in Peru back in 2011, where she deepened her understanding of global infectious diseases and tropical health challenges.
